Giving Back

Since its inception, The Prep School of McKinney has dedicated it’s annual Family Fall Festival to giving back. The event is always free and open to the public, while hosting a silent auction with proceeds benefitting others. In years past profits have gone to the Samaritan Inn, Hugs Café, and turned into care packages to send overseas to and Army Platoon. This past year, The Prep School surpassed previous years contributions. The Prep School was able to raise over $2,300 from their silent auction and art show. They also raised over $400 in baby supply donations. The chosen recipient was Vogel Alcove.

Vogel Alcove is a non-profit child care center in Dallas, on a mission to help young children overcome the lasting and traumatic effects of homelessness. It is their vision, “that every child in our community has a home, a self sufficient family and a foundation for success in school and life.” Vogel Alcove cares for up to 200 children each day and is specifically dedicated to serving the needs of homeless children.

The Prep School would like to than everyone who helped to support such a wonderful cause. To find out more about Vogel Alcove and how you can help, please visit https://vogelalcove.org/home/theproblem.
