Shred Your Paper Trail at Trinity Falls July 8

Got piles of paperwork, stacks of statements or heaps of receipts? Get rid of it all during Shred, White and Blue at Trinity Falls from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, July 8.

The day of mass document destruction will take place at The Club in Trinity Falls, 7801 Trinity Falls Parkway, where local non-profit shredding company Expanco will be on hand to turn hoarded papers into confetti.

“Identity theft is a huge concern in this day and age, but people don’t always have access to a good shredder,” said Jim Baker, general manager of Trinity Falls. “So we are hosting a shredding party. We invite everyone to come out and toss their bags of old bills, unwanted junk mail, cancelled checks and other sensitive documents into the shredder and then spend the rest of the day having fun in our beautiful community.”

There is no fee to shred the documents and the McKinney community will have live music by local musician Philip Brumley, complimentary ice cream (one per person), a cowboy stilt walker and a children’s area. Pure Land Organic will be on-site with fresh produce. Burger baskets can be purchased from The Hamburger Man for $6.

The children's area will be located at B. B. Owen Park at The Club and will feature bounce houses, a balloon artist and a face painter. A portion of the proceeds from the $5 fee into the children's area and a portion from all sales of the burger baskets will benefit Shiloh Place, which offers housing, child care and tuition assistance to single moms and their children.

Named the 2016 “Master-Planned Community of the Year” by the Dallas Builders Association, Trinity Falls offers buyers a range of home choices priced from the lower $300,000s.
