Little Dondra Dickerson gets a drink of water while taking a break from the festivities in Trinity Falls recently. The community recently held a grand re-opening event.

(McKinney, TX, May 17, 2019)   —          More than 2,000 people visited Trinity Falls during the recent Here We Grow Again kick-off event to see the community’s new builders, new models and planned new amenities.

Johnson Development purchased the community in 2016. At that time, seven builders were offering homes priced from the mid $200,000s to the $600,000s.

Since then, Johnson Development has expanded the builder roster to nine builders, including Del Webb, which is offering homes for buyers age 55 and older. A greater variety of homesites ranging from 40-foot to 80-foot are now available in the development, which has grown from 1,700 acres to 2,000 with the purchase of the nearly 300-acre Heritage Farm in late 2017.

“The effect of the improved builder line-up and other changes in the community are being felt,” said Robert Ditthardt, general manager of Trinity Falls. “We sold 12 homes during the weekend we held the kick-off event and another seven the following weekend. It’s a proper start to the month-long home tour and our grand re-opening of Trinity Falls as a Johnson Development community.”

Other changes include the introduction of new amenities, with more on the way. New sections of B.B. Owen Park have opened, adding a disc golf course, nature trails, an amphitheater and more to the amenity offerings. Old Joe Dog Park opened last year, and Basecamp will debut Memorial Day weekend, with a pavilion, playground and splash pad. A second amenity center and resort-style pool are expected to open in early 2021. In addition to the pool, it will have a fitness room, clubhouse, playground and event lawn.

“Johnson Development is known for abundant amenities and lifestyle-conscious development,” Ditthardt said. “What is being planned in Trinity Falls certainly aligns with that focus.”

Building in Trinity Falls are Ashton Woods Homes, Chesmar Homes, Del Webb, Drees Custom Homes, Gehan Homes, Highland Homes, Meritage Homes, Perry Homes and Plantation Homes. Pricing in Trinity Falls ranges from the $230,000s to $600,000.

The “Here We Grow Again” tour continues through May 31. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. Visitors will be able to visit 10 professionally decorated models, several of which have opened in the last few months. A number of inventory homes also will be open for touring. Admission is free.
