                  Soci, one of the largest designers and wholesalers of high-end tile and plumbing products in the United States, has opened its new custom designed showroom in Allen, Texas, providing designers and customers the resources and tools to design, view and shop the large breadth of the brand’s exquisite tile and plumbing products. The new space, which replaced its McKinney location, is in close proximity to I-75 and the bustling Watters Creek mixed-use development.

“Because the experience of selecting products is an important part of the design process, we want to help spark creativity in every aspect of our showroom,” said Connie Gumm, vice president of Soci.

The new 1,136-square-foot showroom features custom tilework with Soci’s porcelain, ceramic and natural stone products, concept boards and panels throughout the space. The showroom effect even continues in the bathrooms, featuring the brand’s tile, sinks and faucets to create a unique, custom look. 

“Whether it’s a remodel or new construction, our new showroom will help customers see our full line of high-end, sophisticated tile and plumbing products, with custom walk-in displays, concept board panels and workstations,” added Gumm. “Each detail from the concrete stain to the paint color to the carpet and millwork selections were meticulously thought-out and designed by our designers giving an inviting, professional environment.”

 The showroom is connected to Soci’s new 4,666-square-foot corporate office, which has been designed to accommodate the company’s growing staff.  

The new showroom is located at 718 S. Greenville Ave, Suite 190, Allen, TX 75002 and open Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The Idea House showcases the latest design ideas and style tips and is featured heavily in the August issue of Southern Living.

“The iconic and esteemed Southern Living brand is a household name for anyone in the South. The Idea House is not just a beautifully designed home, but it’s a cumulation of Southern trends and ideals that make up the classic Southern Living image. Soci’s versatile bath sinks fit seamlessly in with the traditional southern decor in this year’s Idea House,” said Todd Simpson, president of Soci.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Southern Living magazine, the Idea House added a twist this year by selecting five of today’s best young designers and setting them loose to decorate this charming home. The house is a fresh take on traditional Southern style, thanks to Birmingham native and long-standing Idea House architect Bill Ingram and the five designers Mark Sikes, Amy Berry, Ashley Gilbreath, Lauren Liess and Margaret Kirkland.

Soci’s products featured in the 2016 Southern Living Idea House includes six white M Series Vitreous Oval Undermount sinks in all bathrooms throughout the house. Each easy-to-clean sink measures at 16-1/4? x 13-1/4? and combines a sleek transition from the smooth oval basin to almost any solid-surface countertop. The sinks can be used in both traditional and modern bathroom decors.

As part of Soci’s ongoing public relations efforts, the company seeks product placement opportunities in popular home improvement and design television programs on DIY Network, HGTV, FYI Network, and most notably FOX’s Home Free, as well as high-profile showcase homes produced by national magazines, such as Better Homes and Gardens.

Tile designer provides tile for hit design competition show that premieres Thursday, June 16 at 9/8c on FOX

DALLAS, May 25, 2016 - Soci, one of the largest designers and wholesalers of high-end tile and plumbing products in the United States, signs on for Season Two of FOX’s hit design competition show, HOME FREE. In the inspirational second season, contestants will not compete for themselves, but will compete to win their personal heroes a Dream Home. The Season Two premiere of HOME FREE airs Thursday, June 16 at (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

In addition, former NFL player, Heisman Trophy winner and sports analyst Tim Tebow will take the show to an all-new level, co-hosting alongside famed professional contractor Mike Holmes, who will return for Season Two. Each week, Holmes and Tebow will challenge and motivate the contestants to build a new home, testing their skill level, will and strategy. The contestants who do the best work will advance in the competition, while the contestant who doesn’t perform up to code will face elimination.

“HOME FREE is an exciting opportunity for Soci, not only to show off our new tile designs, but also to participate in a show that gives back to heroes who truly deserve recognition,” said Connie Gumm, Vice President of Soci.

Tile designer provides tile for hit fixer-upper show

In each episode, the brothers must convince hesitant homebuyers to take radical risks to complete their ambitious projects on time and on budget.

Hendrick Scholarship Foundation, which enables disadvantaged youths to break the cycle of poverty by obtaining a college education through financial assistance and support services, has provided more than $1 million in scholarships since 1991.

As part of the sponsorship, Soci contributed products to the Taste of Elegance charity event at the famed Southfork Ranch, benefiting the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation.
