Fall is coming, so we have a few fall roof maintenance tips for you! Fall is the time that you want to have your roofs walked and checked to make sure that everything’s sealed up, and that your gutters are clean and your trees are trimmed. Here are the main things to do to get your roof ready for fall:

1. Check your gutters. First off, you want to have your roof and gutters checked. Gutters can build up with leaves and debris causing backflow issues in, which in turn can cause leaking into your home. So first and foremost, get your gutters checked and make sure they are clear of debris.

2. Check your trees. Secondly, check the perimeter for trees that are hanging too low or over the roof. Trees and branches that are hanging over the roof can cause damage to shingles when it’s windy. Plus, squirrels and raccoons use those trees to get on the roof and start eating at the components of your roof, causing damage. So it’s very important to keep the trees trimmed away from the roof.

3. Check your roof. Look for debris hanging out in valleys. A lot of times we’ll find sticks and shrubs that build up on the valleys. If these sit too long they can cause algae growth, and damage to the shingles themselves, so we make sure the valleys are clear of any sitting debris. You also have make sure your pipes and flashings are all sealed up, and make sure the fascia boards are clear from animal damage (from being chewed on).

We have a roof tune-up service that covers all these things. We clean the gutters, seal up the roof, and replace up to one bundle of shingles, which in turn will solve all of your fall maintenance issues! Give us a call at 972-332-1766 and we will be happy to help you out with your fall roof tune-up.

When there are storms, roofers flock to the scene offering their services.  Here are 3 qualities to look for in a reputable roofing company:

1. First, you want to find a company that will install the roof correctly. As most of you probably know, there is no licensing in the state of Texas for roofers. Anyone can start a roofing company! And unfortunately, there are a lot of companies out there installing roofs incorrectly because there’s nobody there to stop them. When you hire Triumph Roofing, you can rest assured that we are certified by all the products we use to install them correctly.

2. Secondly, once you find a roofer that installs the roof correctly you want to make sure that the company is financially responsible. What a lot of people don’t know is that even if you pay your roofer in full for the work they do for you, if they don’t turn around and pay their supplier bills the supplier can put a lien on your home for your roofer’s unpaid bills! It’s very important to find a financially responsible roofer that pays their bills on time, so that doesn’t carry over into repercussions on the customer.

3. Finally, you want to find a company that’s going to service their warranty. Seventy percent of roofers go out of business within two years. We’ve been in business for over six years. We will always be around locally to service any warranty needs for our customers.

A good place to start for looking for a reputable roofer is the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association. All the roofers in this organization maintain an A rating with the Better Business Bureau, have a manufacturer reference that they install the roofs correctly, and they also have a reference from the supplier saying they pay their bills on time.
