Collin County Adventure Camp (CCAC) announced today that it has reached its goal of $18,000 for the 2014 annual campaign, which ensures that everyone in Collin County and beyond has access to its programs, including summer day camp and outdoor education.

As a part of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, CCAC is committed to making programs available to ALL by granting over $100,000 in financial assistance for each of its programs every year.

This year, CCAC introduced the Growing Leaders Giving Tree, inviting local businesses to join the effort in strengthening their communities. With a donation of $2,000, each business is featured as a major donor on the Growing Leaders Giving Tree mural in their dining hall. They were also recognized on several materials distributed to summer campers, such as their water bottles and backpacks.

The four generous businesses this year are: Magic Smith, Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Agent; Long Enterprises; Texas Star Bank; and Anna Dental.

Many other businesses and individuals had a vital part in reaching this year’s goal with their generous contributions. Thanks to these combined efforts, more children and families will be able to participate in the programs available at CCAC.
