Bridges that Unite is excited to Offer its Getting Ahead McKinney Workshop! This is a 16 week session meeting locally here in McKinney on Thursdays from 6-8:30PM. Participants in this workshop will use their experience, knowledge and problem solving skills to look into the causes of poverty from a individual, community, systemic and National level. Although all are invited to apply, this awesome workshop will only have a total of 12 investigators (yes bring your journalistic enthusiasm) that will deep dive into causes, processes, and change. All should have a seat at the table to understand poverty, so whether you could use this information to make a change in your own life, share information with others (each one teach one) or just understand something that you may not have been aware of, this is a great place to start an amazing journey! Participants will receive Free childcare, Free Dinner and a stipend during our workshops as our way of ensuring those barriers (hunger, childcare and yes gas money) are removed and you can bring your ideas to the table.
