L.I.F.T. R&R will be having our exclusive annual event called "Another Man's Treasure"  as part of McKinney's Make a Difference Day, on 10/24 at Victory Church, 1008 Erwin Avenue, McKinney Texas 75069 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. 

We will make a difference in the lives of 30 McKinney families experiencing financial hardship and in need of a hand of compassion.

An exclusive shopping event has been set up filled with free furniture, clothing, household items, suits, children's items, gift baskets, gift cards, vouchers, YMCA memberships, CPR/First Aid vouchers and much more!

Several non profit organizations will be in attendance to provide resources and answer questions about how they are servicing the community. Our goal is to provide an experience that provides them something tangible today, while providing resources for tomorrow as we build their bridges to success. 

Thank you to all our sponsors, non profits and donors for all you've done to make this a time to remember for many who may feel forgotten!

As we prepare for this event, we want to extend the opportunity for sponsors, agencies and other nonprofits to help make this an exceptional day for those we will serve. Any in-kind donations or swag bags, items to go in those bags, goodies, drinks for our “Refreshing Station” would be greatly appreciated. We are a 501C3 approved non profit and all donations are tax deductible.  The little you do for someone else means a lot to someone who has little.

L.I.F.T. R&R will be having a FREE exclusive event to provide assistance to eligible households at no charge.

The event will be held on October 24th from 8:30am to 3:30pm at Victory Church 1008 Erwin Avenue, McKinney Texas 75069 as part of McKinney’s Make a Difference Day.   The event is called “Another Man’s Treasure” and the focus is to help those in poverty by GIVING AWAY donated new and gently used clothing, household items, furniture, toys etc. to socioeconomically challenged families.  We are very excited about this opportunity to serve our disadvantaged population and are already preparing for our event for the year 2021 in McKinney and Sherman! We’re collaborating with other local nonprofits to have not only physical give aways but practical takeaways such as free resources for children, teens and families.  Any remaining items after the event will be donated to McKinney Goodwill to help support their mission of helping the disadvantaged population also.

As we prepare for this event, we want to extend the opportunity for sponsors, agencies and other nonprofits to help make this an exceptional day for those we will serve. Apply Now McKinney Workshop Starts 1/17/19 on Thursday nights! 

Bridges that Unite is excited to Offer its Getting Ahead McKinney Workshop! This is a 16 week session meeting Thursdays from 6-8:30PM. Participants in this workshop will use their experience, knowledge and problem solving skills to look into the causes of poverty from a individual, community, systemic and national level and how to impact by being agents of change. Although all are invited to apply, this awesome workshop will only have a total of 12 investigators (yes bring your journalistic enthusiasm) that will deep dive into causes, processes, and change. All should have a seat at the table to understand poverty and their impact so whether you could use this information to make a change in your own life, share information with others (each one teach one) or just understand something that you may not have been aware of, this is a great place to start an amazing journey! Participants will receive Free childcare, Free Dinner and a stipend during our workshops as our way of ensuring those barriers (hunger, childcare and yes gas money) are removed and you can bring your ideas to the table.

 

Christ Fellowship will also start their Faith and Finances. 12 week workshop on 1/17/19 from 6-8:30pm.

Both workshops will be held at Our Saviour Lutheran Church at 2708 Virginia Parkway in Mckinney Texas.
