Christmas Eve Candlelight Services at Christ Fellowship are for the entire family.

Every Christmas Eve, a thousand sets of car keys are pulled out of pockets and purses. Music plays, and in an instant, the keys become beautiful bells shaking to the famous tune, “Jingle Bells.” It is a solid tradition of fun at the Family Christmas Eve services at Christ Fellowship church, year after year.

This year, Family Services are at 2 and 4 p.m. on Dec. 24. More reflective Candlelight Services are offered at 6 and 8 p.m.

“The Family Services give children an environment where they can stand up, sing, cheer and laugh as we celebrate the birth of Jesus,” said Christ Fellowship Children’s Pastor David Klippert-Rowe. “Families can relax and enjoy the story of Christ, the savior of the world, and worship together.” In addition to traditional favorites like Jingle Bells and Feliz Navidad, children will be led in Christmas hymns and participate in a traditional Christmas nativity. The Promiseland Singers children’s choir will also perform.

Candlelight services are a beloved tradition for those who prefer a more reflective time of Christmas worship. Peace is the guiding theme of this year's service, which culminates in a beautiful candlelighting and the singing of "Silent Night." A service in Spanish is offered at 6 p.m. Families are invited to experience Christmas Eve in the way that speaks to their hearts, and invited to return Sunday, Dec. 25 for a Christmas Day service from 10 to 10:45 a.m. All services will be available online at christfellowshiponline.tv.
