McKinney is hosting two free events designed to educate the public on their sprinkler systems and encourage smart landscape watering practices.  

Two Sprinkler Smarts seminars will be held this month. The first is on Saturday, July 14 at the Stonebridge Ranch Beach & Tennis Club Community Room, 6201 Virginia Pkwy., and the second is on Saturday, July 28 at Craig Ranch, 7850 Collin McKinney Pkwy, Ste. 302. Both seminars begin at 10 a.m. and run until noon. 

Topics at the seminars include:  

  • Conserving water with your current sprinkler system
  • The latest irrigation technology
  • Improving your overall sprinkler system efficiency and enhance your landscape
  • Current rebates available for ET controllers and rain/freeze sensors 

The seminars have no cost to attend, but pre-registration is encouraged. Register online at www.mckinneytexas.org/greenevents. Caryn Walz and Patty Sipe of the Heads Up Sprinkler Company will be the featured speakers. Both are outdoor water conservation experts and EPA Water Sense Partners.
