THEFT OF PROPERTY

A 47-year-old male resident in the 2900 block of Amherst Street heard noises on his back porch and went to investigate. When he walked outside, he observed a black male in a hoodie in his backyard. The victim chased the subject into the alley where the suspect jumped into the passenger seat of a vehicle. The victim was missing a TV from the back porch. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

A 39-year-old female resident reported that some jewelry and her passport were taken from inside her residence in the 4000 block of Purdue Street. She also reported that an employee had access to her residence and is therefore a suspect. 


AUGUST 22

CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD ABUSE 

At approximately 8:10 PM, a police officer was dispatched to a theft report in the 3000 block of Mockingbird Lane. The victim reported that between 11:30 and 12:30 AM, her credit cards were stolen by an unknown suspect.

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

The previous employer of the complainant used a forged company check to deposit money into her 


AUGUST 24

COUNTERFEITING/FORGERY

A suspect passed counterfeit 50 dollar bills when trying to pay at the CVS in the 3000 block of Mockingbird Lane. The suspect left the scene prior to officers' arrival at approximately 9:17 PM. 

AUGUST 27

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

An unknown suspect attempted to take a bicycle without permission from a residence in the 4200 block of San Carlos Drive. 

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE

A male resident reported that an unknown suspect took his vehicle without consent from the 3000 block of Mockingbird Lane. The theft occurred at approximately 1:00 AM.
