LOST PROPERTY 

At approximately 8:00 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 3200 block of Cornell Avenue in regards to a lost driver's license. The victim had lost the license while bike riding and is concerned that an unknown subject could use her lost card for identity theft.

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

An officer was dispatched to a theft-in-progress in the area of Bardfield Elementary and Highland Park Shopping Village at approximately 2:20 PM. The officer was advised that a black male with long hair wearing all black had stolen a bike from the elementary school and left heading east. All available units converged to the area but were unable to find him. They took a statement from a witness and the bike was entered in the NCIC database as stolen.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

At 2:30 AM, an officer on patrol observed a tan vehicle in the driveway of a residence in the 3200 block of St. Johns Drive. The back hatch window was open, so the officer stopped to investigate and found that the third-row seat in the vehicle and the mounted navigation system was missing from the vehicle with some damage. The victim stated that the seat was stolen months ago but the navigation system was just stolen that night. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

An officer conducted an investigation of a BMW in the 3200 block of St. Johns Drive, and while searching for suspects from the burglary, they found another vehicle in the 3300 block of Drexel Drive that had its glove box open and its contents in the front passenger seat. The officer then found that the in-car dash navigation/radio system was unscrewed and partially removed from the housing. The owner stated that nothing was missing, but there was damage to the vehicle. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

At 8:56 AM, an officer responded to the 4600 block of Beverly Drive to take a report of a burglary of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that he had parked his vehicle in his driveway overnight and an unknown person removed the third-row seat without permission. 

DAMAGE TO TOWN PROPERTY 

At 9:46 AM, an officer responded to a report of a moving truck that had struck a tree at the intersection of Roland and Beverly. The officer arrived to find a large tractor-trailer stopped at the stop sign northbound with a large branch still partially attached to the tree and lodged between the cab of the tractor and trailer. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

An officer responded to a call of a BMV in the 3400 block of St. Johns Drive. The resident and victim stated that an unknown person removed the tailgate from his pickup truck without permission between the hours of 9:30 PM the night before (March 1) and 9:30 AM the next morning. He wasn't able to report the theft immediately because he was out of town. Nothing else was missing from the vehicle. 


MARCH 8 


ANIMAL BILE 

At approximately 3:30 PM, an officer was dispatched to the lobby of 4700 Drexel Drive to meet with a victim who was bitten by a dog while working in the 4200 block of Lorraine Avenue at about 10:00 AM this morning. His skin was broken and the dog was quarantined inside the home, so the police will be checking on the animal within the next ten days. 

BURGLARY OF HABITATION 

An officer was dispatched to the 4800 block of Preston Road in reference to a residential burglary. The victim stated that someone had entered her parents' home without consent and stolen property that belonged to her mother. The cleaning lady alerted them to the potential burglary. Police viewed the surveillance videos and observed a female entering the house through an unlocked door and leaving about ten minutes later during the afternoon of March 8. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

At 12:55 PM, an officer was dispatched for a report of a burglary of a motor vehicle in the Whole Foods parking lot. The victim stated that at approximately 12:30 PM, he withdrew $900 in cash from the Chase Bank, then placed the money in the passenger seat of his car. He then parked his car at Whole Foods, went inside to shop, and came back to find his window had been broken and the money had been taken.
