NOVEMBER 6

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE

At approximately 4:04 PM, an officer was dispatched to the lobby of the HPDPS to meet with a victim of a motor vehicle burglary. The victim stated that between 7:00 PM on October 22 and 7:30 AM on October 23, his vehicle had been burglarized by an unknown suspect. Two of his credit cards had been taken and some questionable transactions had taken place. 


NOVEMBER 8 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE

An officer was dispatched to the 4400 block of Mockingbird Lane at approximately 7:30 AM to deal with a BMV report. The victim stated that an unknown person entered her vehicle and rummaged through her belongings without permission. A pair of sunglasses and a knife had been taken sometime between 6:00 PM on November 7 and 7:30 AM the next morning. 

BURGLARY OF A BUILDING 

At approximately 7:45 AM, an officer was dispatched to the 4400 block of Edmondson Avenue on a welfare check. The employee of a resident had noticed that the garage door of the woman's residence was open, as was the passenger-side door of her vehicle. When the employee attempted to check on the resident by knocking on her door and ringing the doorbell, there was no answer. Police came to investigate and discovered that the resident had been asleep with her phone turned off. The house had not been entered by anyone other than the police and the resident. Someone had entered the woman's vehicle with the intent to commit a theft and several items were missing, as well as some cash. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

An officer gathered information about a burglary of a vehicle that took place in the 4300 block of Livingston Avenue at approximately 8:50 AM in order to submit a report. The vehicle was not damaged and had been left unlocked. Three pairs of sunglasses were stolen, as well as a credit card and a driver's license. 

CRIMINAL TRESPASS 

An officer was dispatched to the 4400 block of Beverly Drive in response to a reported burglary of a motor vehicle at approximately 10:21 AM. Nothing was taken, but the vehicle's contents had been disturbed. 

CRIMINAL TRESPASS 

At approximately 11:45 AM, an officer was dispatched to the 4400 block of Edmondson Avenue in response to a possible building burglary. The resident said that two of her vehicles had been entered by an unknown person with the intent to commit a theft. The vehicles had been left unlocked in an open garage. Nothing was taken from either vehicle, but an orange work glove was left in one of them. The glove was cataloged as evidence. 

DAMAGE TO TOWN PROPERTY 

At approximately 1:30 PM, a female driver was involved in a minor accident at the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Eastern Avenue. She reportedly ran a red light and struck another vehicle, then struck a light pole. The light pole incurred damage, as did the electronic crosswalk box that was mounted on it. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

An officer was dispatched to the 4400 block of Edmondson Avenue in response to a possible BMV at approximately 5:04 PM. The victim stated that he had heard his two dogs barking at an outside disturbance last night at approximately 10:30 PM. The next morning, the victim found that an unknown person had stolen money and sunglasses from his two vehicles. 


NOVEMBER 9 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE AND THEFT OF A FIREARM 

A victim reported at approximately 7:30 AM that his three vehicles had been burglarized overnight. They had been parked outside of his home in the 3700 block of Crescent Avenue and left unlocked. Several items were taken, totaling more than $2,000 in losses for the victim and his family. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE

At approximately 11:17 AM, a victim reported that someone had burglarized his vehicle while it was parked in his front driveway in the 4400 block of Beverly Drive. The theft occurred between 12:00 PM on November 7 and 10:30 AM on November 9. A knife was taken, but nothing else seemed to be missing. 


NOVEMBER 10 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

A victim stated that she noticed her son's bicycle was missing at approximately 7:30 AM. The bike had last been seen leaning against the tree in their driveway. The security camera in the victim's driveway captured a suspect removing the bike without permission and riding it off the scene. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

An officer responded to a reported theft in the 3600 block of Mockingbird Lane. The resident stated that between November 7 and 8, someone came into her backyard without permission and stole a bicycle. She believes the yard's gate had been locked but is unsure. A couple of weeks ago, her husband's bike was also stolen from their backyard. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE

At approximately 7:34 PM, an officer was dispatched on a BMV call to the lobby of HPDPS. The victim stated that he had parked his vehicle in the 5400 block of Douglass Avenue at approximately 2:30 PM and returned about an hour later to find that it had been burglarized. Several items were missing, along with a briefcase. 


NOVEMBER 11 

DAMAGE TO PRIVATE PROPERTY 

An officer responded to a report of damage to private property in the 3200 block of Cornell Avenue at approximately 1:37 PM. The victim showed the officer a large three-inch chip in his home's retaining wall, as well as a large crack up the mortar. The damage looks like it was caused by a vehicle striking the wall at a low speed. The victim believes the damage occurred at some point during the day and said there were many construction trucks going in and out of the alley adjacent to his home. However, there is no proof indicating who or what caused the damage.
