OCTOBER 31 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

At approximately 8:02 AM, a police officer was dispatched to the 4500 block of Southern Avenue to take a report of a BMV. The victim stated that between 6:30 the night before and 7:18 the next morning, an unknown person entered her unlocked vehicle and took several items without permission. The vehicle had been parked in her front driveway. Additionally, her child's orange-colored bicycle had been parked on the front porch and was also taken. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

An officer was dispatched to the 4400 block of Fairfax in response to a reported BMV at approximately 8:17 AM. The victim stated that between 7:00 PM the night before and 7:45 AM the next morning, an unknown person entered her unlocked vehicle and took several items without her permission. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

At approximately 8:17 AM, an officer was dispatched to the 4500 block of Lorraine in response to a reported BMV. The victim stated that between 8:00 PM the night before and 8:30 AM the next morning, an unknown person entered his unlocked vehicle and removed property without permission. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

At approximately 12:46 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 4500 block of Southern Avenue in response to a reported BMV. The victim stated that between 8:00 PM the night before and the next morning, an unknown person entered his unlocked vehicle and removed property without permission. 


NOVEMBER 1 

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 

An officer was dispatched to the 3700 block of Dartmouth at approximately 9:02 AM in response to a criminal mischief call. The caller stated that between October 31 at 7:00 PM and November 1 at 8:00 AM, an unknown person walked their dog down a freshly poured sidewalk. An individual also etched an inappropriate image into the sidewalk. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

At approximately 1:43 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 4500 block of Livingston Avenue in response to a reported burglary of a motor vehicle. The resident stated that between 9:00 PM on October 30 and 7:50 AM on October 31, an unknown person entered her vehicle without permission. Nothing was missing and no damage was visible, but the contents of her glove box and console had been disturbed. 

FRAUDULENT USE/POSSESSION OF IDENTIFYING INFORMATION 

A victim walked into the 4700 Drexel Drive location to report an identity theft incident at approximately 6:12 PM. He had started receiving cards in the mail from Western Union and didn't know why, and he discovered that someone had filed a tax return with the IRS and the return was being put on the cards. It appears that someone gained access to the victim's SSN, name, address, DOB, and more. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

At approximately 7:39 PM, a police officer was dispatched to the 4400 block of Southern to meet with a victim who claimed her laptop had been stolen from her vehicle. Her car had been parked in her driveway and should have automatically locked itself while it sat there overnight. When the victim came outside in the morning, she saw that her front passenger door was slightly ajar and her glove box and console had been ransacked. She later noticed that her laptop was missing. 


NOVEMBER 2 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

A police officer was dispatched to a store in the Highland Park Shopping Village at approximately 4:15 PM in response to a reported theft. The store manager stated that at approximately 3:23 PM, two black females in their twenties entered the store and began to browse. After looking around for about ten minutes, they left the store without purchasing anything. About 30 minutes later, the store manager noticed that two bags were missing from the merchandise shelf. She reviewed the security footage and saw that one of the women took the bags while the other woman distracted a sales assistant. 


NOVEMBER 5 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

At approximately 10:57 AM, a police officer was dispatched to the 3400 block of Dartmouth Avenue in response to a reported BMV. The victim stated that his son parked his vehicle in front of their residence at approximately 1:00 AM. The following morning at approximately 7:30 AM, they heard that a vehicle alarm was going off and they weren't sure if it belonged to their vehicle. When the victim walked out to check the vehicle a few hours later, he noticed the left side rear window was broken and the vehicle was still locked. Some property was taken without permission. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

A police officer was dispatched to the 4500 block of Westway Avenue in response to a reported BMV. The resident advised that he and his wife went to dinner on November 3 and returned to their residence at approximately 10:00 PM. They parked their vehicle unsecured on the driveway. On November 5, the victim reported to police that some property had been taken without permission from the vehicle.
